Before Winter gives way to Spring and I flood the blogosphere with new pictures of bugs and birds, how about a tribute to the beauty of coldness. These are a few of the pictures I took around our place in January.
The crystals are the result of wet, dense fog combined with very cold temps with some wind thrown into the mix.
Winter is fine but bring on the Spring!

Wow, Darin! Those are great pictures of crystals and winter! I especially love the little sparrows huddled together. :) I've never seen ice on a barbed wire fence like that. Very cool!
Those are some sweet pictures. I saw some like that on the trees when the fog would freeze -- but I never had my camera.
