Insects are awesome! Check this guy out. I'm pretty sure this is a robberfly. They hunt and kill other insects. Who needs sci-fi when there are things like this out there.

I really like this guy's markings in the profile shot. From the head-on shot, it looks like he has HUGE eyes and the cutest little mouth.
Paul showed my one of these in a photography book, it was eating a yellow jacket... Mean little suckers. Are they common in your neck of the woods?
